Our Founding Partners
Nick and Bill have spent over two decades in the executive search industry, focusing on financial institutions and alternative asset management.
Unlike traditional recruiting agencies, Nick and Bill take a personalized and bespoke approach that fosters authentic and meaningful client partnerships. They go above and beyond to understand your needs and develop a tailored search strategy to help you find the perfect candidate to drive your organization's mission forward.
Prior to founding Bristol Ebinger, Nick Bristol was an investment analyst with the Structured Finance Group at Prudential Investments, one of the largest buyers of private placement ABS. During his tenure, he helped to run a $4 billion ABS/CDO fixed income portfolio. He interacted regularly with traders, salespeople, research strategists, bankers, and marketers from top investment banks.
At Prudential, Nick quickly realized the importance of cultivating a strong team and the difficulty in finding and retaining qualified talent. In professional recruiting, he saw an opportunity to leverage his extensive professional network, as well as his fixed income knowledge including passing level II of the CFA. Nick took up the challenge and transitioned smoothly into his new career, starting a Structured Finance practice of a NYC recruiting firm that had no prior relationships in that market. He cultivated many successful client relationships before breaking out on his own and founding Bristol Ebinger.
Bill Ebinger is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Bristol Ebinger. He is the head of the firm’s Alternative Investment Management business. Since joining Bristol Ebinger in 2003, Bill has been directly responsible for or overseen nearly 500 placements in the financial services industry. He has significant experience in the talent acquisition process of leading alternative asset managers, investment banks, hedge funds, specialty finance platforms, CLO managers, and global investment management firms. His institutional asset class expertise ranges across private and public markets. He focuses on Specialty Finance, Securitized Products, Structured Credit, Corporate Credit, Real Estate, Hard Assets, and Macro products.
Prior to joining the firm, Bill worked as Head of Business Development at a technology recruiting firm focused on sales opportunities in the software industry. He held several leadership positions and focused on expanding client relationships across the technology sector. Bill has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from The State University of New York, Oneonta.
